The Contemporary Prince of Bel-Air reboot has a brand new Will.
Peacock’s replace of the Nineteen Nineties sitcom has forged newcomer Jabari Banks within the function that after shot Will Smith to fame.

Set in modern-day, Bel-Air is a serialized one-hour “dramatic analogue” of Contemporary Prince that follows “Will’s sophisticated journey from the streets of West Philadelphia to the gated mansions of Bel-Air. With a reimagined imaginative and prescient, Bel-Air will dive deeper into the inherent conflicts, feelings and biases that had been not possible to completely discover in a 30-minute sitcom format, whereas nonetheless delivering swagger and nods to the unique present.”
The venture was impressed by writer-director Morgan Cooper’s viral fan movie Bel-Air. The four-minute spec trailer, debuted in March, 2019, and caught the eye of Smith. Cooper serves as director, co-writer and government producer on the venture which has a two-season order.
Banks lives in West Philadelphia and graduated from College of the Arts in Philly in 2020.
